This Privacy Policy describes how Upload Counsel ('we,' 'us,' 'our') collects, uses, and shares information through uploadlawyer.com and uploadcounsel.com (the 'Site').

We collect information you voluntarily provide through intake forms, the newsletter signup, and direct communications. This may include name, email address, creator category, platforms, service interest, urgency, budget range, and the description of your situation. We also automatically collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps for security and analytics.

How we use information
We use information to (a) triage your intake and respond to your inquiry, (b) match you with attorneys in our referral network where appropriate, (c) send you Site updates and newsletter content if you have subscribed, (d) maintain Site security, and (e) comply with legal and professional-conduct obligations.

Sharing your information
We share intake information with the specific attorney(s) in our referral network we believe are best suited to your matter, solely for the purpose of matching and potential engagement. We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers (such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics vendors) under confidentiality obligations, with our founder's affiliated law firm where appropriate, and as required by law or to protect legal rights.

Confidentiality vs. privilege
We treat intake information as confidential. However, attorney-client privilege fully attaches only after a written engagement letter is signed with a specific attorney. Please do not send highly sensitive information through the Site that you would not be comfortable sharing absent an engagement.

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and basic functionality. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Site may not function correctly.

We retain intake and newsletter information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion at any time.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, request access to or deletion of your information by emailing hello@uploadlawyer.com, and opt out of certain analytics via your browser settings or industry opt-out tools.

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
